Yang Lab Receives UVA Accelerator Innovation Fund Award
We are excited to share that the Yang Lab has been awarded a $150,000 Accelerator Innovation Fund (AIF) award from the UVA Cancer Center.
The funded project, “First-in-class DELE1-targeting biologics to disable mitochondrial stress–dependent survival in acute myeloid leukemia,” will support the development of novel biologic therapeutics targeting DELE1, a central regulator of the mitochondrial stress response. This work aims to translate our mechanistic discoveries into innovative therapeutic strategies for acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
The AIF program supports the advancement of promising biomedical discoveries toward clinical translation by accelerating the development of innovative technologies with therapeutic potential.
We are grateful to the UVA Cancer Center and the Accelerator Innovation Fund for their confidence in our research and look forward to advancing this exciting project.
